Click it Quick // Contest Rules

Win this contest for your school!

Who can participate?

The Click it Quick Contest is open to North Dakota high school students, enrolled in grades 9-12 in a North Dakota school as of September 15, 2009, or during the contest period.

  1. The high school is considered to be the school registered with the Department of Public Instruction. For those high schools that are grades 10-12, ninth graders who will attend that school may be counted in their total students. These schools should contact dot@nd.gov to ensure the student numbers are presented accurately.
  2. The school signing up should have at least 70 students. Smaller schools should co-op to reach the 70 students, and register as one school. Activities do not need to be completed together, but points from activities at each school will contribute to the total. Should the co-op group win the prize, there will be negotiation as to where the prize event will be held. Schools who will co-op should contact dot@nd.gov prior to signing up so an identification number can be provided. If a smaller school is unable to establish a co-op, please contact Janel so arrangements can be made. We want every school to have an equal opportunity to compete!
  3. Enrollment numbers from the 2008-2009 school year will be used in determining the contest winner.
  4. Every school needs a facilitator. The facilitator must be an adult or groups of adults. It is encouraged that the facilitator be someone who is not already involved in traffic safety. If the school has established guidelines for community volunteers in the school, the school is responsible to meet those. The facilitator responsibilities include:
    1. Registering the school(s) for the contest on the ndteendriver.com website
    2. Assist youth in coordinating events
    3. Ensure integrity of activities
    4. Enter points for school-based and community-based activities on the website.

Winning the Click it Quick Contest

Click it Quick activities should be driven by a group of high school students, and should ultimately impact the entire community.

Students can obtain points for their high school in four ways

  1. Completing quizzes on the ndteendrivers.com website. Students register on the website and identify their school during the registration process.
  2. Conducting school-based education activities
  3. Conducting community based education activities
  4. Creating a 30-second Click it Quick video that is in the top 5 voting totals

Students will receive points as designated for activities on the table at the end of this document. These total points will be credited to their high school.

Winning the Contest: The school with the highest average per student will win the contest prize. Student enrollment for the 2008-2009 school year provides the student count for the calculation. In the event of a tie, there will be a drawing to determine the winner.

Activities consist of a variety of individually based opportunities through the ndteendrivers.com website, and group based activities. Point totals are assigned as detailed on the chart in this document.
